Summary

Body in shape is increasing public, medical, and scientific demand. The main reason for that is to increase awareness of the hazards of obesity. Excess body fat poses systemic health problems. Unwanted local fat deposits negatively affect body shape and image. Diets, exercise, medications, and/ liposuction, or gastric surgeries may effectively control obesity. Body shaping can dramatically improve the shape and proportion of your body, enhancing your appearance and boosting your self-confidence. Improvements to your body’s shape and overall body shaping in one surgical session or stage depend on your overall health, the type and extent of procedures, and the outcome of discussions and recommendations of Prof. Moawad during the consultation process. Body shaping, also called body contouring, is a broad term used to describe a range of aesthetic surgical procedures designed to reshape and improve the appearance of your body. Body shaping (body shaping) can include both surgical (body lift and liposuction) and non-surgical procedures. There is an increasing number of transcutaneous energy delivery devices currently available. They are classified according to the energy they deliver to their target—mechanical (e.g., suction, massage), radiofrequency, ultrasound, cryolipolysis, and laser. Radiofrequency devices are the most popular for non-surgical skin tightening and fat reduction.

Giving birth and breastfeeding can take their toll on a woman’s shape. Body contouring can help bring back the body to its pre-childbearing form. People who lose a significant amount of weight feel healthier, more energetic, and lighter on their feet. However, their skin will likely remain stretched, and they may want to tighten up and sculpt various areas of their body. Body contouring is the answer. As age and gravity push and pull the body out of shape, it’s nice to know body contouring is there to bring it back to its natural shape.

ABDOMEN IN SHAPE

Abdominal alterations may be summarized as: cutaneous (redundancies, stretch marks, scars, flaccidity, and retractions); accumulation of subcutaneous tissue (lipodystrophy); and those affecting the muscular-aponeurotic system (diastasis, hernia, eventration, and convexity. The abdomen is essential to define the younger and more vital physique. The stomach contour is set by the bones, fat, skin, muscles, and the protrusion of the intra-abdominal organs. Surgical treatment will remove excess skin, and fat will tighten the muscle to push back internal organs. Surgical treatment will give a contour that approximates the person with their ideal self-image. The goal of surgery is to make an aesthetic contour with acceptable scars and the return of full function of the abdominal girdle. There is an increasing number of transcutaneous energy delivery devices currently available. They are classified according to the type of energy they deliver to their target—mechanical (e.g., suction, massage), radiofrequency, ultrasound, cryolipolysis, and laser. Of these, radiofrequency devices are the most popular for non-surgical skin tightening and fat reduction.

high definition liposuction

Individuals presenting for contouring of the back present with excess skin and/or fat, and the mode of treatment depends on the proportion of skin and fat in the back. The upper and lower back are managed as discrete regions, particularly when discussing the massive weight loss patient. Both women and men typically present for upper back contouring as obesity leads to fullness around the breast tissue and dissatisfaction with the appearance in clothing. Liposuction of the upper back will improve the breast tail and removal of the under-arms fatty collection Women and men present with fatty tissue collection in the waist, and hip/flank region will benefit from liposuction of the back to nicely complement tummy tuck in men and in women to improve the waistline. The back typically houses fibrous fat, and thick skin contracts well after liposuction, particularly techniques augmented with power or ultrasound. After massive weight loss, many men and women present with significant skin excess in the upper back, contiguous with the chest. For best results, this presentation responds best to removing excess skin and fat, not liposuction. For women, I may recycle this tissue for autologous augmentation of the breast. Removal of the back tissue can also be transitioned into the chest for gynecomastia treatment or into the upper abdomen for a reverse tummy tuck.

buttocks-in-shape

Techniques for improving the appearance of the gluteal region are essential elements in body contouring. In all cultures and communities, this physique aspect holds a special place among the elements comprising the ideals of physical beauty. Recent studies described the aesthetics of the gluteal region in terms of shape, volume, and projection.  However, Prof Moawad noticed ten years ago the accumulation of fat at the supragluteal, lower paralumbar, infragluteal, and/or trochanteric areas often disturbs the natural shape of the buttocks. He decided to enhance the gluteal region by liposculpture of areas around the buttocks and, when needed, lipo-injection to give volume and projection. There is a growing interest in aesthetic surgery of the buttocks and posterior body contouring with severe weight loss.  Weight loss often produces flat buttock deformities, which push the need for buttock lift surgery. Like breast surgery, buttocks surgery can be performed with several different techniques, all of which aim to make an aesthetically pleasing shape in or out of clothing. There is no single buttocks-lifting technique capable of solving all aesthetic problems.  Choosing the correct procedure, combining techniques, or even adding an implant or fat, is common. The treatment or combination of suitable approaches for each patient is discovered through consultation that focuses on understanding a patient’s goals and unique anatomy. It is essential to realize that the buttock reshaping surgery must address the whole back, flanks, hip, and thigh as one unit. It is fundamental to understand the differences between female and male buttocks.

high definition thigh shaping

Performing procedures to reshape the thigh needs an understanding of the aesthetic thigh deformity and its causes. A thigh lift, liposuction, and non-invasive body shaping may all be used for thigh shaping or contouring. Thigh liposuction is appropriate for younger patients with fatty collections and good skin quality. Liposuction treatment is often weighed against thigh-lift (thighplasty) with the possibility of a visible scar. An increasing number of transcutaneous energy delivery devices are currently available as an adjunct with surgical procedures or as a standalone device for patients who want slight improvement or who are unwilling or can not have surgery. They are classified according to the type of energy they deliver to their target—mechanical (e.g., suction, massage), radiofrequency, ultrasound, cryolipolysis, and laser. Realistic expectations on the part of patients and the appropriate application of technologies by surgeons are the key to achieving patients’ aesthetic goals.

weight loss surgery or body lifts

Losing a great deal of weight is a great skill and a tone towards a healthier, more vibrant spirit. Nevertheless, excess, sagging skin can present a fresh challenge, preventing patients from thoroughly enjoying their weight loss benefits. An experienced cosmetic surgeon can get rid of extra skin and restore more aesthetically pleasing body contours. Skin removal surgery includes a range of body lift procedures performed after significant weight loss to address the excess skin folds on the arms, legs, torso, and/or buttocks, helping patients make a more natural, aesthetically pleasing shape. If you are burdened with extra skin after losing weight, getting rid of it can dramatically enhance your comfort and self-confidence, help you exercise with greater ease, and improve the way clothing fits. This field has applications across a broadband of the population, from the petite “mommy” looking for a makeover to the male who lost more than 100 lbs after gastric bypass surgery. There are many techniques to do this. The termination of breast and body-lift procedure is the preparation of the best possible contour while respecting essential safety topics and continually innovating to better results

Liposuction, the number one cosmetic surgery performed globally, is a procedure removing unwanted lumps, bulges, and areas of resistant fat deposits from specific areas of the body. Patients should be in good health, emotionally stable, and realistic in their expectations. Age is not a consideration, but older patients usually have diminished skin elasticity, thus will probably not achieve the same results as a younger person with tighter skin. While no method of liposuction is a substitute for proper nutrition and physical exercise, nor is it an alternative for general weight reduction, it is, however, ideal for permanently removing localized areas of fat that are diet and exercise-resistant. The most common areas for treatment include upper thighs (saddlebags), abdomen, flanks (Love handles), and upper arms. Other areas include facial fat accumulations, including a double chin, neck and jowls, breast, hips, buttocks, and knees. I can do cheeks, calves, and ankles, but results are less impressive in these areas. In men, liposuction can be used to correct gynecomastia (enlarged breasts) and, more recently as scarless breast reduction in females. In addition, liposuction is used to remove sweat glands in the underarm to reduce excessive sweating without affecting the body’s ability to cool itself. The application of external ultrasound before liposuction is a technique that applies the transcutaneous application of high-frequency ultrasonic fields delivered into the wetted fatty tissue to melt fat cells and make it easy for extraction. All types of energy (mechanical, ultrasound, laser, and radiofrequency have been combined with liposuction to reduce surgeon effort and improve the result. The “power” in power-assisted/power-tumescent liposuction (mechanical energy) refers to the use of a cannula with a back-and-forth motion of the tip passes through tissue to suction out fat in fibrous (male breast) or the back with reduced effort. Power-assisted liposuction helps skin tightening during the recovery period.
